&lt;p align="justify"&gt;The rehabilitation is part of government’s efforts to renovate Regional Airports in the country. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The entourage was met by the station Commander of the Takoradi Air force, Air Commodore Samson Oje, who briefed them about the current phase of the rehabilitation. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Rehabilitation work included the presidential lounge, renovation of arrival and departure halls, and the runways. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Others include, the acquisition of a standby generator at the Airport, replacement of the stations sporting and recreational facilities and the airport main road, which is being tarred. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Air commodore Oje, outlined some of the challenges the airport was facing, including encroachment of land for farming activities. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The committee was however pleased with the extent of work done and promised to give it the necessary support to bring the airport up to appreciable standards. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;Mr. Issac Addai, a representative of the of Consultant to the project, who took the Minister and her team to the runway, said the first phase of work would involve repair works to be followed by over-lay of asphalting.&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;
